This paper examines how local civil society organizations (CSOs) might contribute to peacebuilding efforts in Northwest Pakistan. In doing so, it first identifies the organizational, financial, managerial, operational and communications-centered challenges that the CSOs now face. The paper then recommends ways that the organizations can increase their capacities, and thereby produce context-specific and efficient peacebuilding solutions for the area.
