This paper reviews the implementation of the Irish White Paper on Defence covering the period to 2010. It focuses on the implementation of specific recommendations and sets out policy parameters and strategic objectives. In summary, it illustrates that most of the recommendations for change, re-organization and investment throughout the defense organization have been implemented or are being implemented according to agreed timetables set out in the White Paper.
