This paper addresses the prospective sale of the uranium enrichment company Urenco. The author first outlines the specifics of the global nuclear industry and the company’s ownership structure and then looks at each of the possible buyers, highlighting India’s interests in the company. He also addresses some of the concerns the sale could raise over nuclear proliferation and the impending changes to nuclear supply.
