This commentary discusses the attack on Iran’s Embassy in Lebanon by the Abdullah Azzam Brigade, a Sunni militant group, in November 2013. The author suggests that the attack was designed to force Hezbollah to withdraw from Syria and to pressure the Lebanese government to release incarcerated Sunni militants.
