This brief discusses the impact of the 2008 financial crisis and Arab Spring uprisings on the fiscal, monetary and financial policies of the Southern and Eastern Mediterranean Countries. It also looks at how these crisis have been managed in the countries affected, what lessons can be drawn for crisis management in the future, and how the EU can contribute to to assisting as part of a Euro-Med Partnership.
