Spurred by the arrest of an Indian diplomat in the US in late 2013, this commentary looks at the issues which are causing diplomatic tensions between the two countries. It argues that both India and the US need to take decisive action to restore positive momentum in their flagging partnership. Doing so will not only help Washington achieve the strategic aims of its pivot to Asia but also enable New Delhi to further its larger strategic and economic objectives there.
