This report examines Mexico's energy sector reform. The author argues that if effectively executed, the reforms which allow private investment in the energy industry, will result in an increase in oil and gas production and, with it, greater economic output. He says that the reforms have demonstrated remarkable cross-partisan leadership, but also that executing them will present a formidable challenge.
