This book examines some of the essential aspects of stability operations and the role they play in determining the success or failure of the US armed forces in contemporary and possible future military operations. It also looks at various aspects of policing and the essential role it can play in establishing rule of law. The final chapter provides an overview of how providing medical support to failed states can help decrease instability.
