While fully acknowledging the difficulties of accurately measuring Turkey’s military budget and spending, this analysis nevertheless takes a stab at it -- i.e., it provides detailed information on the country's military spending from 2006-2012 and speculates on more recent expenditures up to 2015. One reason the numbers are hard to come by is that democratic controls over the opaque Turkish military remain too limited.
