In discussing Indonesia’s upcoming 2014 presidential elections, this commentary argues that they will not result in radical or ideologically-tainted shifts in Jakarta's foreign policy outlook. Nevertheless, the new government will most likely be active, innovative and in line with the country’s self-perception as an emerging middle power.
