This paper includes three articles on economic, political and legal reform in China, with a particular focus on proposals made at the Third Plenum of the 18th Chinese Communist Party Congress in November 2013. The first article examines the challenges centralization of power and influence groups pose to reform, the second looks at the proposed national security commission, and the final article discusses what the new Chinese rule of law, announced at the plenum, will look like and mean for China.
