TThis paper looks at South Korea’s decision to revise its Korean Air Defense Identification Zone (KADIZ) in the wake of China’s declaration of its own ADIZ in late 2013. The author argues that, given the increased likelihood of quarrels heating up over territory in the China Seas in the future, South Korea simply did what it had to, in order to stay abreast of the situation.
