This report investigates China's vast and growing Uranium governance structure. It examines Beijing's procurement strategy and regulatory agencies and dissects the interconnection between different pieces of relevant legislation. Based on the nature of China`s procurement activities, both domestically and abroad, the paper also makes recommendations on how uranium ore concentrate (UOC) can be better captured by the existing nuclear governance system in order to ensure the security of this material, as well as possibly enhance China`s long-term UOC procurement efforts.
