This article analyzes young voters’ contribution to the rise of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) in India. To do this, the author examines the role of both the youthful profile of the party’s candidates and young voters’ preferences in the success of the AAP. He also explains the party’s ability to gain credibility among young voters by emphasizing its strong presence in social media and by its use of music and mobile phones to mobilize and recruit young voters.
