This paper looks at Israel-Palestine peace negotiations, international responses to them and possible solutions. It discusses the use of boycott, divestment and sanctions (BDS) against Israel, particularly by European countries and businesses, as a means of trying to force Israel to reach a deal with Palestine. It also evaluates how wide spread BDS strategies might become and their likely consequences. Finally, it suggests Israel may avert BDS measures by discontinuing new settlement construction in contested territories. However, the author is unsure this would be a politically acceptable solution within the country.
