This paper discusses the rise in violence and terrorist activity in Egypt and the surrounding Sinai Peninsula since the ousting of President Mubarak in 2011. The authors briefly discuss the activities and affiliates of the terrorist organizations in the Sinai region and then look at the possible implications of the increasing instability in the region for Israel.
