This commentary discusses ongoing peace talks between Islamabad and the Pakistani Taliban (Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan) and the implications of these for Afghanistan. In particular, the author discusses the links between the Taliban in Afghanistan and Pakistan, and reviews advances in peace talks in both countries.
