This journal presents research on political violence and terrorism in Southeast Asia, with a particular focus on southern Thailand, Indonesia and the southern Philippines. The articles in this issue focus on: 1) the prospects for peace between the Thai government and the South Thailand insurgency; 2) the emergence of an 'anti-deradicalization' movement in Indonesia; 3) the threat posed by online extremism in Indonesia; and 4) the significance of advances in the peace process between the Philippines government and the Moro Islamic Liberation Front.
