This book introduces a community-centred approach to security provision as well as a guide for policy makers and security program managers on how to implement it. The author describes why he thinks this approach to security is important; outlines the theory behind interconnected peace, conflict, security and development interventions and the nature of its practice; and sets out the steps involved in planning, implementing, evaluating and improving community security interventions.
