This paper examines how, in a world full of asymmetric and irregular threats, military forces can attain the desired levels of adaptability and flexibility and how a learning culture can be fostered at every scale of a military organization. To do this, the author explores the emerging field of Complex Adaptive Systems (CAS) and whether it could provide military forces with a tool to better understand complex problems and find feasible solutions to them.
