This report includes a number of articles on various economic and regional challenges facing the transition process in Afghanistan following the end of the ISAF mandate in late 2014. Some of the topics covered include 1) the link between security in Afghanistan and economic development; 2) cross-border economic challenges and opportunities; 3) economic progress and prospects in Afghanistan; as well as 4) economic and regional cooperation between Afghanistan and other Middle Eastern countries.
