In light of the attacks on Karachi airport and on a hotel in Balochistan in 2014, this commentary examines the resurgent threat of home-grown terrorism by Islamist insurgents in Pakistan. The author argues that beside a strong military response to win the fight against militants, the country's political leadership must take ownership of the fight against the terrorists and demonstrate strong political will.
