This paper discusses the veracity of Afghanistan’s two time (2009, 2014) presidential candidate Abdullah Abdullah’s claims that he has been robbed of the presidency on both occasions. The author presents poll data from 2009 and 2014 to show that despite significant fraud, the numbers did not favor Abdullah Abdullah in either election. He also discusses the role of ethnicity in Abdullah’s defeats.
