This commentary analyzes the legal, social and economic situation of women in Saudi Arabia in the 21st century. The author argues that although a reform agenda to include more women in the job market, open some spaces of study (law) to female student and the acknowledge female political participation has taken some important steps, the changes introduced by the Saudi government are not sufficient.
