This paper looks at the type of foreign policy India may adopt under Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who was elected in May 2014. In particular, it looks at what policy India could adopt toward the nations of Southern Asia; China; the ASEAN states; Japan; and the US as well as what factors could influence relations between India and these countries.
