Ahead of the announcement of the results of Indonesia’s tightly contested 2014 presidential election, this report discusses the developments in the electoral competition that might determine the outcome. It also analyzes three crucial aspects of the Prabowo and Jokowi campaigns: 1) image cultivation, 2) Islamic credentials, and 3) the party's machinery. The report concludes with an analysis of the implications of either a a Prabowo or a Jokowi government.
