Following the meeting between Indian Prime Minister Narenda Modi and Chinese President Xi Jingping at the 2014 BRICS Summit, this commentary examines the state and future of relations between Beijing and New Delhi. The author argues that despite enduring bilateral distrust and border disputes between the two countries, economic and geopolitical factors suggest that the prospects are good for an improvement in Sino-Indian relations.
