This commentary examines China’s proposal to co-develop a Trans-Himalaya Economic Region with India. The proposal, which is part of Beijing's broader plan to improve its connectivity with other states in Asia, would involve building four 'economic corridors', which would then complement the three corridors that exist in the Greater Mekong Sub-region and the six that connect Central Asia with South and East Asia.
