This paper discusses the implications of Narendra Modi's victory in India's 2014 general elections for India-China relations. The author argues that following Modi's election, the two countries have attempted to readjust and improve their relations in a number of areas. He also suggests that this is particularly the case in the area of economic affairs, and that China is keen that India should partner with them to establish new global economic norms.
