This paper discusses the impact of domestic and regional instability on security in Jordan. The author argues that the ideological spillover of The Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL), the Salafist movement, local grievances and conflicts, regional unrest in Syria, Israel-Palestine and Iraq, parochial interests and the reluctance to share power have strengthened the subversive elements of society that could threaten the stability of Jordan and facilitate an ISIL incursion.
