This paper examines the importance of the change in attitude Israel and Hamas have toward one another following the July-August 2014 conflict. The author contends that the signs of changing attitudes of Israel and Hamas towards one another are very significant as improvements in these attitudes are a necessary element of any longstanding arrangement, whether that consists of a ceasefire or a final peace agreement.
