Publication

The six articles in this text explore the handful of global challenges facing the EU. The latter include 1) the need for a more equitable world economy; 2) the dangers posed by climate change; 3) the frayed quest for peace and security; 4) the attempt to spread democracy and human rights; and 5) the quest to lower poverty and inequality. In order to meet these interconnected challenges quickly, the EU should further empower its High Representative for Foreign Affairs and promote greater oversight by the European Parliament.
