This brief examines the cultural and intellectual linkages between India and Singapore which may provide fertile ground for strengthening the relations between the two countries. Drawing on previous scholarly work and interviews, the author illustrates how bilateral relations can be further enhanced through broader engagements between academia and policy-making; and through recognizing the ways in which culture (e.g. film and literature) contributes to foreign relations and security. He concludes with a series of policy recommendations aimed at enhancing the relations between the two countries.
