This commentary examines the political perspective of Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán's administration and some of the political and economic forces that have negatively affected the country's relations with Europe and improved them with Russia. The author also examines the role that ethnicity and national identity play in Hungarian politics and its foreign relations.
