This brief discusses the findings of a survey that investigated the perceptions of security among internally displaced persons (IDPs) in two protection of civilians (POC) sites inside UN peacekeeping bases in Juba, South Sudan. The author suggests that the findings of the survey indicate that the process to change security conditions in the country will be a long and difficult one.
