This brief examines some of the ways in which China and India have increased their global engagement in 2014. More specifically, the author examines 1) India's assertive engagement in World Trade Organization (WTO) talks in 2014; 2) the November 2014 US-China Joint Announcement on Climate Change and Clean Energy Cooperation; and 3) Australia's customized approach to security and trade issues with India.
