This report examines Denmark’s domestic and international commitment to gender equality and security, critically assessing the United Nations Women, Peace and Security (WPS) agenda in the Danish context. The author argues that although Denmark has recognized its dual obligation to women’s security and welfare at home and abroad several aspects require further attention. These include the insufficient recognition of male victims of gendered violence and the difficulties in increasing the number of women within the Danish armed forces.
