This paper discusses Denmark's deployment of multi-stakeholder partnerships (MSPs) as a way of dealing with increasing demands for cooperation in international development. The author analyzes some of the problems of using MSPs and explores four ways of making better use of them. He also suggests six steps the Danish government could take to make the role of MSPs in the country's development policy more systematic and transparent.
