In light of the 2014 cyberattack against Sony Pictures in response to a film about an assassination attempt on the leader of North Korea, this commentary examines the tensions that exist between free speech, national security and corporate responsibility. The author also examines how the US can enhance its cybersecurity by forming partnerships with businesses and by working with other countries to create an international code of cyber conduct.
