This paper explains the concept of multi-stakeholder internet governance, examines its strengths and weaknesses, and proposes steps to improve it. In particular, the authors concentrate on how multi-stakeholder internet governance has been used thus far in the areas of 1) network architecture; 2) content control; 3) human rights; 4) cyber crime; and 5) cyber attacks.
