This commentary contends that due to their geographical position close to disputed areas and features in the South China Sea, Indonesia's Natuna Islands could become the next flashpoint in the area. The author suggests that the Indonesian government should act immediately to develop the infrastructure of the islands in order to solidify its territorial claim to the islands.
