This bulletin discusses the negotiations over the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP), a proposed free trade agreement between the ASEAN countries and six other Asia-Pacific states. In particular, it focuses on the RECP's potential to establish a new form of regional economic relations by forming the basis of an Asia‐Pacific free trade area.
