Following the Indian Prime Minister Nahredra Modi's visit to Sri Lanka in March 2015, this brief discusses the diplomatic relations between the two countries. The main topics covered include 1) the role of China in the Indian Ocean region; 2) how Sri Lanka intends to politically accommodate its Tamil minority; and 3) the domestic and cultural links between Sri Lanka and India.
