This commentary discusses the potential impact of cheaper weapons produced by exporters such as Brazil, South Korea and Turkey on the domination of the traditional arms producers in the US and Europe. The author suggests that these developing countries do not pose a serious threat to the market position of the traditional weapons producers and that Europe and the US will dominate the global arms trade for some time to come.
