This report looks at the threats nuclear weapons pose to the hegemonic power of the United States. It concludes that despite their overwhelming power, 'nukes' have little political or military value, except to deter other nuclear-capable nations. As a result, Washington should work to minimize the importance accorded to these weapons by all nations.
