This commentary describes the public perception of Germany and the Germans by the Dutch, and how this perception changed for the positive between the end of World War II and 2015. The author particularly looks at Dutch sentiment towards Germany’s pioneering role in EU politics and economics, soccer, and compares the Dutch and German attitudes towards citizens of different ethnicities.
