This paper discusses the impact of US-led coalition air strikes against the so-called Islamic State (IS) suggesting that these strikes have had a limited effect on the resilience of the group despite inflicting heavy losses. The author also raises the question of how the international community might cope with the prospect of the continued durability of IS, in spite of the military, economic, and political pressure being applied on the group.
