Following the Conservative Party's victory in the UK’s May 2015 general election, this publication discusses the potentially negative consequences of three initiatives the party is expected to implement. These include 1) a referendum on EU membership, 2) a British Bill of Human Rights to replace the EU directives on human rights; and 3) counter extremism policies. The author also looks at the implications these initiatives could have for Southeast Asia.
