This paper examines the UK's nuclear weapons policy and its influence on the European Security and Defence Policy (ESDP). The author offers an analysis on how nuclear weapons could play a role in the EU's future defense policy. The paper concludes that the issue of nuclear weapons is being avoided by EU politicians and could pose a problem for future security cooperation in the European Union.
