This report 1) examines trends in Russian-Chinese relations since the end of the Cold War, and 2) wonders whether the two countries could indeed form a substantive partnership against the US. In the latter case, the report concludes that the future of Chinese-Russian relations – and whether they will establish an anti-US alliance or not – still largely depends on Washington's policies, which should once again be scrubbed for their appropriateness or not.
